Machanhill Primary School and Nursery Class Parent Council
Our Parent Council is a group of parents/carers who kindly volunteer their time to be members. All members are part of the parent forum (the collective name for every parent/carer) and parent council members represent the collective views of the forum at meetings.
At Machanhill Primary, we have a very active Parent Council. Their main duty is to work in partnership with the staff and pupils of the school to provide a curriculum which engages all pupils, raises attainment, and allows families to engage in their child’s learning together.
You can find out more about the role of Parent Councils at https://education.gov.scot/parentzone/
The Parent Council has a constitution which is reviewed at the Annual General Meeting each year.
All meetings take place from 6.30 pm in the school.
